STREET TEAMS:
Street Teams are the legs and voice of Carpe Nocturne Magazine, taking our humble mag places it can’t get by itself. Whether repping us at a show, chatting us up at your favorite local store, or just stopping to talk with kewl folks on the street (hence the name), Street Team members bring Carpe Nocturne Magazine to the attention of likely fans and readers. Street Team members direct those interested towards Carpe Nocturne Magazine and have the satisfaction of knowing that their efforts help keep the whole Carpe Nocturne team afloat. Street Team members pass out fliers, stickers, and other awesome swag (and get first pick of the newest kewl Carpe Nocturne Magazine swag to hit the streets!), increasing awareness and readership of the magazine. Good street team members should be familiar with the content, culture, and history of Carpe Nocturne Magazine, and should make an effort to get out and go places, such as shows, shops, and clubs, where the magazine’s potential readers are likely to be found! You should make an effort to present Carpe Nocturne Magazine in the best possible light. Personal appearance, grooming, and style are a must.
WEB TEAMS:
Web Team members serve a similar function, but they do it online. Carpe Nocturne Magazine‘s Web Team members bring awareness of the mag to the digital realms of the internet. Whether linking us directly to friends, talking us up in IMs, or posting about us on social networking sites our Web Teams reach more people from their computer screens than some people do all day.
Like Street Team members, Web Team members are an invaluable part of the Carpe Nocturne team and contribute to the success of the organization by increasing readership and notoriety for the magazine. Like Street Team members, Web Team members should know where we came from, what we are, and where we’re going. Web Team members should also be members of one or more social networking sites and should know enough people online to make us sit up and pay attention! Web Team members should be conversant in netspeak. And in case it needs to be said, Trollz need not apply.
Remember; be respectful of private property and NO FLYER / STICKER ZONES! Posting flyers or stickers to city/state/federal property is a crime punishable by fines and jail time. Use your head please!
